Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Technology Manager with substantial experience to work closely with their key leaders.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Technology Manager, you will execute and operationalize technology strategy, while helping lead and deliver the ongoing development of technology infrastructure, systems, and processes. You’ll work under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, and in close coordination with external third parties (e.g., programmers, hardware and desktop support specialists, VARs) to execute your key responsibilities.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A critical part of the role will be to oversee the certification software platform. You will ensure the smooth operation of the system while leading and project managing the ongoing development and implementation of new features and improvements to the platform. Practically speaking, you will:

  • Oversee the development and delivery of IM/IT products, programs, tools, materials, education and training
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance high-quality software solutions
  • Develop and maintain queries, dashboards, data visualizations, and reports to support business needs and strategic priorities
  • Develop and operationalize governance frameworks, policies, procedures, standards, and roadmaps as they relate to the technology infrastructure, applications, and data
  • Ensure the stability, scalability, availability, and security of the technology infrastructure, systems, and processes
  • Provide guidance for IM/IT staff and contractors on all aspects of IM/IT infrastructure
  • Manage relationships with IM/IT vendors, external contractors, and clients
  • Contribute to budgeting and project management activities
  • Monitor technology trends, developments, and advancements

 

WHO WE NEED

This role requires someone who can think out of the box, roll up their sleeves and get the work done with vigour and excitement. We are looking for someone with the following.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of IT and technology experience, with demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Significant knowledge of IT enterprise systems (IT infrastructure, cloud migration, software development)
  • Proven experience leading IT planning, innovation, operations, project management, change management, and development across different functional groups
  • Proven experience with Microsoft stack (Office 365 and ideally Azure, Dynamics, and PowerBI)
  • Demonstrable familiarity and experience working with object-oriented programming, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • A degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts in clear language

 

A combination of any of the following is an asset:

  • PMP certification
  • Experience with Laserfiche
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Azure
  • Experience or familiarity with C#, ASP.NET, DevExpress
  • Bilingualism (English/French)
