Position: Intermediate – Senior Employment Lawyer

Compensation Package: $115,000-$135,000 plus, depending on experience + LSO and LawPro fees covered + $2,500 for CPD + Health and Dental Benefits

Your key area of responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to our clients
- Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of employment and labour law issues
- Review and draft key documents, including employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, and termination documents
- Handle negotiation and mediation with occasional litigation duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario (candidates licenced in other provinces may be considered on condition that the candidate becomes licenced in Ontario)
- Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school
- 5+ years of experience in private practice or in-house employment law, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Experience representing employers is a must
- Strong mediation and negotiation skills required
- Bilingual is an asset, but not a requirement
- Multi-provincial bar membership is an asset
- Tech-savvy and process-oriented
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to work
- Team player
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Curious, attentive, and a great communicator
- Service-oriented with a strong focus on client satisfaction
