Job Summary:

Reporting to the North American CMO, the Marketing Supervisor oversees the Canadian marketing programs and team. They also act as the central point of contact/liaison for the Canadian Marketing Department to global marketing groups,and cross-functional departments locally, as well as to outside vendors and/or agencies. 

With 6-7 direct reports and sitting on the Canadian Leadership team, this individual assumes responsibility for all areas of marketing including product portfolio, communication channels (social media, Facebook, Twitter) and SEO/SEM locally. 

Main duties include: reviewing marketing programs to align with corporate strategies, identifying opportunities that increase profitability while managing budgets and controlling expenses and leading the implementation of marketing plans with a focus on products, selling/retailing programs and promotions, and communications. This individual will also execute multi-year brand/marketing strategies that deliver on sales and profitability goals as required for the Canadian market.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Product Portfolio

 Contributes to the development of Canadian product portfolio design by identifying and communicating market needs.

Commercialization Planning

Assess and identify IBO/customer needs for selling programs and tools locally and ensure programs are communicated effectively externally and internally within the local market.

Quality Control

Adapts regional and corporate assets and manages (as necessary) the local production of communications leading the vendor/agency relationship to ensure plans are executed on-brief, on-time, on-budget and that they deliver to brand and quality standards.

Integrated Commercialization Adaptation and Implementation

Participates in the development of high impact Integrated Marketing Plans that supports product launches (Tier 1, 2 and 3) and programs leveraging the menu of assets provided regionally while facilitating local implementation. This includes and is not limited to: selling tools, communications, selling/retailing programs, training and development and promotions

Amway Brand and Business Opportunity Planning

Adapts and implements marketing strategies and plans for the Amway brand and Business Opportunity.

Local Market Planning

Assumes responsibility for marketing within the local market and ensures IBO, regulatory and legal needs for marketing launches and programs.

Staff Management

Hire, develop and lead a high performing team. Mentor, coach and guide professionals to help develop the top talent pipeline.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience, with most of it being marketing
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and team-building skills (i.e.. servant leader).
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams to deliver solutions
  • Talent to communicate across cultures, with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • Bilingual; English/French a PLUS
