Training Location: Akwesasne, NY (26 Eagle Drive)
Work Location: Cornwall Plant (605 Island Road, Akwesasne, ON) upon opening
What the Role Offers

- Competitive salary: $64,000–$90,000 USD, based on experience (converted to CAD upon relocation)

About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of key accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis, while partnering across departments to improve data accuracy and financial processes.
A central focus of this role is supporting the transition from paper-based processes to a fully digital, automated accounting environment—playing a hands-on role in process improvement, system enhancements, and building scalable workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex reconciliations (inventory, intercompany, fixed assets, cash)
- Post journal entries (accruals, amortizations, adjustments) and support month/quarter-end close
- Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights
- Maintain accurate general ledger data and support audits with organized documentation
- Identify control gaps and ensure adherence to accounting policies
- Support automation and paperless initiatives (digital workflows, document management, system upgrades)
- Assist with ERP enhancements across AP, AR, and GL
- Partner with AP/AR and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality
- Contribute to reporting, cash flow analysis, and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with systems and change
- Experience supporting or contributing to paperless/automation initiatives (strong asset)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
