Pro-Able Doors & Systems is a leading supplier of doors and hardware, specializing in design, fabrication, supply, installation and ongoing maintenance for commercial spaces.  With over 35 years of success and a dedicated team of 25+ professionals, they service clients throughout Southwestern Ontario with their building, renovation, and maintenance needs. 

They are currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join their team. The role is responsible for managing the daily activities of projects, ensuring that they stay on schedule and communicating with stakeholders. The role reports to the Consultant. 

The ideal candidate has project management experience, is detail-oriented, collaborative and eager to grow within a family-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upon award of quoted orders/projects, this critical position is responsible for effectively coordinating/managing and performing the following important tasks: 
    • Review architectural drawings and specifications. 
    • Prepare submittals for awards based on estimating info, specifications, and architectural drawings. 
    • Check submittals prepared by other team members before submission. 
    • Submit documents to contractors, architects and others and monitor submission status. 
    • Properly manage all documents and regularly communicate with the customer. 
    • Effectively manage projects/orders based on established delivery needs. 
  • Issue cost effective purchase orders to suppliers and create stock requisitions. Create work orders for our in-house welding shop and service departments. Review/receive products as may be required to ensure accuracy. 
  • Verify products before shipment. Confirm safe delivery to site. Supervise the delivery and receiving of large/valuable orders on site. 
  • Visit jobsites to meet with customers and ensure the job exceeds their expectations. Assist with Inventory counts. 

Qualifications:

  • O.S.S.D., Completion of College/Vocational or Technical Training in a related field. 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a project management capacity, preferably in Industrial, Commercial or Institutional building projects.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications. 
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong relationship building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Computer Skills: word processing, AutoCAD, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, file management.
  • Ability to work independently and source the appropriate resources necessary for project completion.
  • Experience with commercial doors and hardware is an asset.
