Due to significant growth, they are looking for a Senior Retirement Consultant to join their team and continue delivering outstanding solutions to clients. The role will be responsible for managing a large block of client accounts that have multiple retirement plan options.
The company has maintained continued success operating through a referral-based model which provides Consultants the time to manage their group accounts without the pressure of prospecting and selling.
The company is headquartered in Collingwood with satellite offices located throughout Ontario, available for use anytime and to collaborate with other team members.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record successfully managing a high volume of multiple group accounts and has a strong knowledge of different retirement benefit options.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assigned 80-90 Retirement Accounts for Inforce servicing through entire life cycle.
- Monthly or As Required – Assigned up to 10 active new business implementations (RTMT).
- Co-ordinating and finalizing market comparisons, new sale documents and client deliverables for Retirement applications between client and carrier representative.
- Assist key stakeholders, Principals or Client Managers with Retirement plan provider selection, for new clients or existing plan transfers
- Client and broker facing presentations/discussions on retirement stewardship, in addition to employee presentations, quarterly touchpoint calls or client escalation touchpoint syncs.
- Completion of stewardship reporting, fund analysis, fund alternates, fund recommendations and ETF monitoring.
- Managing Special Block Assignment Relationships and being a Canadian retirement subject matter expert.
- Finalizing all reports of renewals, marketing, stewardships, and delivery to your client.
- High Level Peer Review of Retirement implementation reports, stewardships, renewals, and quarterlies as required.
- Interactions with clients as needed or as follow up to various tasks or other items/issues.
- Maintain all client files and correspondence to comply with O&A Standards.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and activities by participating in webinars, seminars, etc.
- High awareness of overall market trends to assist with retirement reporting.
- Special Projects, as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working for a Brokerage or 7+ years of specific industry-related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of group retirement plans.
- Extensive experience handling group retirement plans, specifically with implementation, plan compliance and governance and creating and presenting educational materials.
- Designation under CEBS program (or working towards) is an asset.
- Active LLQP licensed.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Highly flexible, self-motivated, and able to multitask.
- Positive attitude, solution oriented and a team player.
- Direct clients contact experience and proven ability to manage over 70 accounts.
- Bilingual is an asset.
