What They Offer

Compensation: $50,000-$90,000, depending on experience.

Work Arrangement: This position is primarily based in-office in Simcoe, ON, with project inspection responsibilities throughout the Oxford County, Haldimand County, Brant County and Norfolk County regions. Some hybrid flexibility may be available for senior-level candidates, depending on experience and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs and technical drawings for:
    • Sewer and watermain systems
    • Stormwater management systems
    • Roadway and municipal infrastructure projects
    • Site servicing and grading plans
  • Develop plan and profile drawings, detailed sections, and base plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Support land development projects including site plans and subdivisions
  • Conduct fieldwork including:
    • Topographic surveys
    • Site visits
    • Construction inspections
  • Interpret and apply municipal design standards, guidelines, and engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers, technologists, technicians, clients, and municipal stakeholders
  • Assist with project coordination and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment


Qualifications & Experience

  • Education in Civil Engineering Science or Technology, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience designing and drafting:
    • Grading and servicing plans
    • Plan and profile drawings
    • Stormwater management plans
    • Section and detailed drawings
    • Base plans
  • Understanding of Site Plan and Subdivision development processes, as well as municipal client-based projects
  • Experience with fieldwork, including detailed topographic site surveys and construction field inspections
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply engineering design standards and guidelines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
