What they Offer:
Compensation: $50,000-$90,000, depending on industry knowledge and experience.
Work Arrangement: This position is primarily in-office in Simcoe, ON. Junior-level candidates are expected to work on-site full-time, while hybrid flexibility may be available for senior-level candidates depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s Architectural and Structural Engineering departments, including the Director of Architecture, Professional Engineers, Technologists and Technicians.
- Work on architectural and structural engineering projects, with a primary focus on building projects, including single-family homes, townhouses and small residential developments.
- Assist in all project phases, including:
- Proposal preparation
- Conceptual and schematic design
- Detailed design and preparation of construction documents, drawings and specifications
- Construction review and report preparation
- Contract administration assistance
- Participate in site visits and hands-on project oversight.
- Support conceptual designs and the planning process, collaborating with land use planners as needed.
- Collaborate as part of an integrated project team to ensure project success.
- Assist with Ontario Building Code (OBC) reviews and ensure compliance in documentation.
- Draft and design using Revit (proficiency preferred).
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle for work-related travel.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education in Architectural or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with an Architecture Firm is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) is an asset.
- Proficiency in Revit is strongly preferred; experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Strong conceptual design skills in 2D and 3D formats.
- Basic knowledge of construction and building/envelope systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, while developing client relationships.
- Ability to manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail and observational skills.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
