Compensation: Competitive base salary of $90,000–$120,000+, depending on experience, plus commissions on new and repeat business.

Schedule: Hybrid role with flexibility and independence; typically 2 days per week in office (London, ON).

Key Responsibilities:

As a Technical Account Manager, you will manage and grow a defined territory by selling and supporting the company’s full range of compressed air products and services, including capital equipment, air treatment solutions and maintenance programs.

Core Duties

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Drive new business while expanding relationships with existing customers.
    • Apply a consultative, solution-based sales approach to promote compressors, dryers, filters, vacuum and industrial gas systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for energy-efficient upgrades and system optimization.
  • Customer & Market Knowledge:
    • Develop deep insight into target markets (manufacturing, automotive, food & beverage, and process industries).
    • Analyze customer needs and recommend tailored compressed air solutions that improve reliability and uptime.
    • Monitor competitors and market trends to position Atlas Copco products effectively.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Atlas Copco compressors, including product lines, features, and control systems.
    • Understand complete compressed air systems — from design and dryers to condensate management and piping.
    • Stay current on energy recovery systems, air audits, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure excellent customer support.
    • Contribute technical insights and feedback to improve internal processes and offerings.
  • Reporting & Administration:
    • Maintain accurate CRM records of customer interactions and opportunities.
    • Prepare detailed quotes, reports, and forecasts.
    • Provide regular market intelligence and feedback to management.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical or outside sales, ideally within the compressed air industry or related capital equipment field.
  • Proven success selling to industrial MROs and OEMs.
  • Experience in compressed air system design, energy audits, or maintenance programs is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or technical discipline preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, ethical, and organized, with strong time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
  • Desire to thrive in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment within a small, family-run company.
